I agree with this honestly and I’m not even trying to hate. They just don’t “stick out” or have one thing that they are “known for” anymore. It’s just kinda a mix of average girls with average grades who sit in the middle of the pack IMO. I do think they are starting to focus less on being a looks house which might help them out when it comes to grades but idk we will see.

Idk why some of y’all are acting like new row is an insult. There’s some great new row houses and old row literally means NOTHING unless you were born and raised in Alabama. I’m so sick of this OR vs NR mentality and new row constantly getting put down for not being OR. I completely agree with the poster that phi mu has more of a new row vibe to them and remind me of a mix of zeta and pi phi. That absolutely DOESN’T mean they’re not a great house, because NR does NOT equal bad. I just mean they’ve become more accepting of different girls and broadening their PCs like new row tends to do instead of sticking to all the same types of girls from all the same towns and high schools like a lot of OR does. Highly overrated. Think they're much, much better than they really are. Lots of tacky new money with orange tans and hair extensions. Not desired by PNMs from the typical OR target areas and social circles. Sadly lacking in sophistication, taste, breeding, and elegance. Basically ZTA with better grades.

Can't put my finger on it, but someone said it right. They don't stand out for any particular reason. They are a mixed bag overall. They are average girls who put in the effort to look put together. I will not bash them, but I also don't think I can rank them top or near the top.

The positives are is that they are branching out and becoming more diverse.
The negative is that social media is filled with the bleach blonde girls with extensions and fake orange tans. Not a good look. The past couple of years you normally just saw that with Alpha Phi and Zetas.
