open bidding
by: MomMy daughter didn't get into our legacy house which is first circle I might add. How dare they open up bidding after rush so that any random person can get a bid while my child has to suffer in an inferior house? My headquarters will be hearing from me and other unhappy mothers!!! This is outrageous!

She doesn't have to suffer in that inferior house. She can quit and join your house next year - if you're sure she didn't turn them down and not the other way around.

Results next year might not be any better and possibly worse. Horrible that moms are calling their daughters' sororities inferior.

I am glad you aren't my mother. I would be horrified if my mother described my house as inferior. Maybe your "legacy" house saw the same negative attitude in your daughter as you have. More probable though your daughter ranked the house she is in higher than yours. You should embrace your daughters new sisters as they have your daughter.

Clearly this mom really loves and cares about her daughter and wants only the best for her and her happiness. I feel sorry for all of you who have mothers that don't care. Her child is obviously hurting and this situation is making things so much worse. Take a girl off the street who failed in rush or didn't even rush instead of a legacy. Shameful!

It's the mom that's hurting, not the daughter. The daughter accepted her "inferior" house and is apparently happy there since she accepted the bid. It's this mom who's in a rage.

If she's devastated, she can quit. But she hasn't, right? Sounds like you're the one that's devastated.

Loves her "inferior" house and has a great sisterhood. I let HER pick without my interference. So....i will bump this thread so everyone will know you can be happy in ANY house you choose. And, "inferior" is in the eyes of the beholder. Roll Tide!
