It was not the AA PNM the alumni was concerned about. Is it possible they were concerned with the boys that she would invite to the house.

The year is 19 ____? I feel like I am in a major time warp on this thread. My NPC sorority has black members, top tier, southern school and no one is afraid including the alumnae!

"Those "less than desirable" white women allowed to pledge were just lucky that someone didn't write "do not pledge" recs for them!"

Reason enough for all do not pledge rec's to be banned. It's just a way to let petty women hurt other women. If the system can't screen out real problem PNM's, then it shouldn't be allowed to screen out perfectly good candidates because of rumors or petty grievances.

Rush is very tough at Alabama. Lots of girls are cut! That's why bama has one of the best and strongest greek systems in the country. There's a reason for this.

in question was highly qualified, well connected, and apparently well enough liked to get extremely good votes according to sources in multiple houses that wanted her. It was about race, but it was out of the hands of the undergrads.

Lots of comments here by people who have absolutely no idea how sororities work.
