snap bids are a miracle

pnms i keep reading about snap bids and if they were that easy we would all go through rush that way.
you have nothing to do with snap bids. those are all decided after pref but before bid day and they are 100% not in your hands. most of the time you may get a snap bid and it is from a house you deemed not good enough so you dropped out. only once have i seen a pnm get a snap bid to a super selective house and she was a legacy who got dropped before pref. she also had a 4.0 and was beautiful and very involved. it was surprising when she got dropped from her legacy house in the first place. that is the only snap bid story ive ever known that worked out so perfectly for a pnm. please just look at what houses you have left and look at the girls going to these parties as they would be your pledge class

Bad wording. Some are given out. I guess I meant a lot compared to the context of the post. It's not RARE, but it's not common either

The ones that are handed out are not given to just your average beautiful, accomplished, smart PNM. They're given out to the granddaughter of the lady that plays bridge with the rush adviser or the quadruple legacy that had to be cut because her grades were 0.001 too low. Unless you have an amazing "in" you'll never get one.

she is correct the only one I saw that was a house that cut the pnm was this 5.11 tall blonde beautiful legacy in the honors program. she was so sweet too so i was so happy for her. and this girl besides being brilliant looked like a model. she was intimidating until you met her.
