My daughter is a Theta. They are a wonderful group of young ladies. Well balanced I have found. The process was overwhelming for sure. We are from Alabama. My daughter heard all the talk and wasn’t sure she wanted to join but after she got involved she found her group and has loved it since. They are making good strides to dispel the myths and bad rap. I find them to be a group of normal girls so to speak. Not all caught up in themselves. You’ll hear negatives but I believe it is a great house. I was in a different sorority at a different college. Rush at Bama is so crazy. A lot of who ya know and how much money you come from.

Would encourage you not to ask here but to take a look at each chapter’s social media and websites. Also a google search with give you some less biased but still accurate info than here.

All wonderful options! She will find a great home for the next four years. With houses of over 400, there are all types of girls in every single house here, and no matter which house she ends up in, she will have he opportunity make lifelong friends. If she is more of a serious student who is interested in getting involved on campus, she may be drawn to AOPi or KAT. If she is more social, she may prefer the vibe of APhi or DZ. But as I said before, there are partiers and studiers in every house. Best of luck to your daughter!

If you really are a mama- I'd recommend googling Alpha Phi University of Alabama. That should give you a good vibe from that group... I shall say no more

This thread is just another attempt to bash Alpha Phi by throwing that house in with Theta etc.

I guess APhi must be doing something right this recruitment.

Those are wonderful houses with great girls. You can’t go wrong with anything at Bama but don’t expect solid advice from this site. This is an entertainment venue for “ranking” and creating drama. Tell your daughter to enjoy those houses and pray for the Lord to show her where she should be. Good luck.

In those 4 houses there are nearly 1,600 college women. 1,600 beautiful and smart women. Imagine 1,600 girls and they all love their sorority. Those 1,600 girls see something special in your daughter and would love to get to know her more. There will be every type of girl and your daughter will find her people. The houses are all so similar, all have parties, all have study hours, all have sisterhood events, all value grades, all tailgate and have block seating at games, and all will provide her with a home away from home. She can only pledge 1. She has great choices. She will be fine.
