what are theta and dz like?

If you're open minded and curious, go through recruitment and make up your own mind. The info you're likely to get on here is a lot of old rumors, put-downs and hateful comments masquerading as fact. Please don't get sucked into this mess. Forget about this website and think for yourself.

Don't worry, I am. I just wanted to know why they're never really mentioned. I guess they don't do much to get notice?

They don't get mentioned alot and are down ranked because people don't really know where they fall. People will say that theta is bottom tier however they aren't at all. They aren't affiliated with the machine which is really why people look down on them. The girls are all pretty average and pretty diverse (as far as bama goes). DZ is a different story. DZ is a solid middle tier group. They tend to take alot of girls from the north. They have decent grades. They aren't a bunch of beauty queens but most girls aren't beauty queens which is why they attract average girls (cuz lets be honest, what's wrong with average?!). They have the nation wide rep of "EZ DZ" but this couldn't be anymore false when talking about the chapter at alabama. my best friend preffed DZ and theta and all though she ended up in another house she said these two would have been a fine fit. She preferred theta over DZ by the way which goes to show you that it's all about where people fit and not about rank.

Theta and GPhi are pretty interchangeable. The don't belong to the machine, they're both fairly recent, and people rank them at the bottom because the machine rules at Alabama. DZ might rank a little higher, but I like the girls I know from Theta and G Phi better.

DZ tries to keep up with the popular sororities. Theta has a great sisterhood and really doesn't care what everyone thinks or how they rank. Theta's are happy being Theta's. They have some great, sweet girls. DZ's are followers; Theta's are independent thinkers.
