national reputation/tiers
by: NatDoes anyone know the national tiers or reputations of the sororities?

I have 37 cousins from all over. Most of them are greek. They go to schools in 11 states. It is amazing how varied the rankings are just in those different localities. When we started pledging different houses, I would be shocked or amazed that people went with the groups they did. I learned from this that different houses have different reps everywhere. And of course different rankings. Chi O at Bama does not equal Chi O at USC. Believe me.

I feel like the only fair way to rank the chapters nationally is quantitatively. That being said, I am bored asfff and will take the 20 minutes to look up numbers of active chapters.
Chi Omega- 181
Alpha Phi- 172
Delta Zeta- 170
Kappa Delta- 167
Alpha Delta Pi- 161
Delta Gamma- 151
Kappa Kappa Gamma- 145
Alpha Omicron Pi- 142
Delta Delta Delta- 141
Phi Mu- 137
Alpha Chi Omega- 134
Gamma Phi Beta- 130
Kappa Alpha Theta- 124
Alpha Gamma Delta- 123
Sigma Kappa- 122
Alpha Xi Delta- 113
Delta Phi Epsilon- 109
Phi Sigma Sigma- 108
Sigma Delta Tau- 105
Alpha Sigma Tau- 85
Alpha Sigma Alpha- 83
Theta Phi Alpha- 57
Alpha Epsilon Phi- 50
Did my best to find accurate numbers based only on ACTIVE collegiate chapters. (I think the numbers on the GreekRank sorority pages are a little outdated and account for chapters that have been closed/alumni chapters maybe.)
Correct me if I got your org's number wrong. Exact numbers might be slightly off, this is just what Google says. But I'd guess that the ball park range is pretty accurate.

Here's how I feel about the "national rank." Chapters in the following list are all well-known. Some more than others, but for the most part, if you are in a sorority then these are the big chapters/the ones you hear about and probably know someone in.
Alphabetical:
Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Omicron Pi
Alpha Phi
Alpha Xi Delta
Chi Omega
Delta Delta Delta
Delta Gamma
Delta Zeta
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Alpha Theta
Kappa Delta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Phi Mu
Pi Beta Phi
Sigma Kappa
Zeta Tau Alpha
The rest just aren't as prevalent nationally, BUT they definitely still have some amazing chapters and offer great experiences!
