You cannot go back, only forward. These girls CHOSE you, and they see you fitting in with them. So take advantage of your NM status and throw yourself in 100%. Eat at the house, go to date parties, bond with your big. You have an out before initiation, but you'll never know what might have been if you don't give it your all.
If you decide in 6 weeks that this is NOT your house, then quit. Make friends in other houses and try again next year.
