question about frat shirts

I'm not Greek, but I just wanted to know if it's frowned upon to put stuff in the pocket on Greek shirts that have letters on them? I've seen some people do it, but I just wanted to know how taboo it was?

I put everything in my frocket. Phone, beer can, juul, school supplies, you name it. If it can fit, I’ve put it in my frocket at some point

I've just heard that some frats don't allow it because it's disrespecting their letters if you have a can of dip or something like that in the front pocket. Again, I'm not Greek so I don't know the intricacies of it all, but I was just curious.
