honest q&a not in greek chic

All i can say is that from my general knowledge of how these sororities recruit in comparison to the others is that a lot of sororities at bama are known for being the pretty house, the southern house, the wealthiest, the partiers, etc. and they look for girls that fit that image. These houses have less of an image that fits a category like that and they just recruit girls based on if they think they would fit in/enjoy being there. They obv judge on the same categories as other sororities but maybe look more holistically at the pnm than emphasizing certain traits more than others. Thats my 2 cents.

Most girls w/o recs can end up in at least any of them except AOPi they require recs for bids & will get u one if they like you. All are less drama tho.

In general, they're all just a little more low key than the rest of the houses. And people on this site will be quick to say THEY'RE IRRELEVANT!!!! But low key and irrelevant are not the same things. There is nothing wrong with these houses and at any other school they would probably be very popular with PNMS and "top tier." It's just that Alabama has an amazing Greek life, and ALL the houses are so good that pnms really want to get into the "top" sororities for the name or the reputation or whatever. But do not write off dg aopi dz or theta, they all have a lot to offer to their girls and do a good job of balancing between being accepting of different types of girls, but still wanting high quality genuine people for their sisterhood.

Okay neither of them would be considered the "hey look at me" social climbing sororities in my opinion.
With that I would put Theta as the more traditional stylish and DG,DZ more trendy--again my opinion!

dz lost more girls to aopi.
theta lost more girls to dz.
