If ADPi were strong they would have enough quality in PC17 to cover the floor

ADPi's PC 16 and 17 are still better than their "competitors" and won't lose their top girls to them. ADPi does not cross rush with these houses as much as this site makes you think. They fight the most with AXO(for the grades girls), AGD (for the in-state girls), and APhi/Pi Phi (for the party girls) for their top girls and I think they are going to keep getting the same PC they are used to.

ADPi does not compete with AXO for girls. lololol.

AXO competes mostly with XO and Phi Mu and a little with the other OR houses.

ADPi had nationals come in this past school year due to poor rush numbers the past couple years...
only time will tell but I'm guessing we'll know soon

Maybe in my house it’s different but I can’t imagine a house not needing to use sophomores juniors or even seniors on the floor during rush. I’ve been in a bump group the past two years and I’ll be in one in a few weeks as a senior. We would never use just freshmen bc 1) they would get so worn out doing every single party and 2) it would be kind of a waste to not use all the great girls in the other PCs. Again I know other houses do things differently but idk.

ADPi lost NINETY TWO girls last year. Stop kidding yourself that they’re so much above other New Row houses!

I honestly think that phi mu,tri delt and maybe kappa will pull the top girls.

Phi mu everyone dislikes in some ways but girls are girls and will wanna join a house even if they know it's pretty much fake.

Tri delt has a a great PC'17 and im sure will have tons of pms attached to them because now they are know for being sweet girls and pretty.

Kappa can kinda go in either direction. They will pull the best girls of friend groups want to stay together. Most high school groups will want to join the same house and this is where kappa thrives off of.

Exactly, pnms are gonna walk into that house and see a bunch of pretty put together girls with a sweet philanthropy and they're gonna want to end up there more than a lot of the lower ranked houses. It's just a fact they won't know/care much about their scandals

They may not know at the beginning of the week but they’ll definitely find out by the end. All it takes is a couple girls in each rho chi group to come out of the party and say “nice house, too bad about the racism tho” and suddenly everyone and their mother knows.

I’m also curious how many girls they’ll have show up for rush. If they end up having to double rush PNMs that will be a huuuuge disadvantage for them. Hopefully they won’t have any more drop over the summer but it’s not looking good.

Another thing y'all forget is aphi puts on a pretty good rush. I was pc 16 and kept them til pref, and they had such a good pref that I changed my mind and preffed them second instead of third over an OR house (granted that was before all this happened)...... but they have sweet, attractive girls who are social and can all carry a conversation well. PNMs are teenage girls who care about status and yes hearing about their scandals definitely will sway PNMs from them, but not all. A lot of girls would rather end up at aphi than some other lower ranked houses because they'd rather be seen as a pretty, albeit dumb, aphi than some of the reps of the other houses. Sorry if this didn't make sense I don't feel like proofreading

Tent talk is no joke ladies, I’m not saying every girl will hate them but negative talk from other PNMs will really dissuade girls who don’t know anything about the houses and don’t want to end up somewhere with a bad rep

You mean the Alpha Phi girl that acts like 25% of Bama sorority girls, except she got caught? Is that the scandal you are referring to?

From what I’ve heard, the buzz amongst PNMs (from several different areas) is favoring KKG, XO and DDD. A lot of girls are turned off by the “forced perfection” vibe that PM and AXO have. Not much buzz on KD and AGD is flat.

Lots of interest in seeing DZ and AOPi’s new houses and I predict the playing field with ADPi will start to level out.

Alpha Phi is going to be hurt not only by the obvious racial scandal and ensuing purge of 200 members, but also by those willing to take the risk of a Sigma Kappa bid over the uncertainty of what will become of Alpha Phi.

Because a lot of PNMs reach out to you to give you their pre-rush opinions?? I call BS

AXO did not have a very strong pledge class last fall. PM? Yes. DDD? Yes. AXO? No.

You have no idea how connected Southern alums are to their houses. You don’t just pledge for 4 years. It’s a lifetime commitment if you do it right.

Hah! Alpha Phi is a recruitment powerhouse across the country, with about half of their total chapters recruiting in the #1 spot.— not first quartile — The #1 spot. Do not dismiss Alpha Phi so easily. Sure, they have a ton of ground to make up, but they will bring that strength to this recruitment probably like never before. You are foolish if you don’t think that’s gonna happen.

Exactly. If they kicked out all those girls just to let them take the exact same girls during rush it was all pointless. But the problem is now that those types of girls are pretty much the only girls who want them. Kind of a rock and a hard place situation.

Actually, Alpha Phi was first at a little more than half of its total chapters: 91 of 171 recruited #1. That doesn’t happen by accident.

Hey @RTR/NotAMom— we get it, you were an alpha phi, you love alpha phi, whatever, great. We do not care what other schools do. It wouldn’t matter if every single other alpha phi chapter had #1 return rates. We’re talking about the chapter here at UA, which does not have #1 return rates and certainly won’t after rush this year.

Trending up: Zeta, Pi Phi, AOPi, DZ, GPhi
Staying the same: KD, XO, KKG, DDD, Theta
Trending down: ADPi, AGD, DG, APhi, PM, AXO

Why do you think Zeta, ADPi, and DZ are trending up or staying the same? Last year, DZ members knew their new house was going to open this year and they still lost over 70 members. Zeta lost over 60, and ADPi lost over 90. Member retention is as important as recruitment. Hopefully, next year will be better for these groups than last year was for them.

I see Zeta trending up because APhi will struggle and they’ll benefit from that. They’ve had good PCs the last two years and I don’t see why it wouldn’t continue.
I think ADPi will get a cute, friendly, pretty boring PC, same as always
I think DZ will not do as badly during rush because of the new house, but they’ll still be debatably the worst house on the row so they’ll stay the same.
I’m not saying these houses don’t have issues, they number of girls they lost clearly shows that they do. But I’m terms of their PCs more than the overall status of the house, I don’t think the internal issues will kill them
