But my sweet little Yorkie, Mrs. Snuffles, was excited for Recruitment. Who'd kick her out?

Kind of along the same lines that people have said, but just generally, girls who complain constantly about the boring parts of Greek life! Sorry that chapter is long and boring and you have homework you could be doing, sorry that you have to get up early in the morning for recruitment, but the fun side of Greek life isn't possible without pushing through all the tedious stuff. I can't stand when my chapter is at an event or meeting or something not fun and then to add onto it there's girls complaining the entire time. It makes it 10000x worse. You're with your best friends, you're all suffering together, make the most of the situation

Finally! This is so amazing! Yes! Do not join a sorority if you aren’t willing to put in the work and only want it for the parties!!! Pomping, coming back early for recruitment, and going to chapter is something literally everyone has/ has to go through. You’re not special and don’t go cry to your parents that you have too much homework to do and can’t do your part in the mandatory events you literally signed up for and pay to be apart of! So many issues have been caused from girls not sucking it up and being adults. and omg DO NOT RUSH JUST TO JOIN FOR A YEAR! Dropping hurts your sorority in so many ways and you probably took a spot from a girl who was willing to be there for life!

All that hard non-fun stuff y'all are talking about is exactly what's going to lift you up and help you in life. One day you will have to run a meeting and you will know exactly how to do it efficiently, productively, and keep everyone on track. You'll look like a hero. One day you will have to have discussions with a bunch of people you don't know or even like in order to negotiate a deal or convince them to buy or donate or vote, or to assess them for a job or project. No problem, you've got recruitment experience under your belt. One day you'll have to ride heard on others who may or may not agree with you but the organization's reputation is at stake and you've got to make some things happen. Sound familiar in your sorority life? Nowhere else do you get so much opportunity for hands-on practical experience at such a young age. On the other hand, having vast partying experience is not worth a damn thing.
