new row: please stop!
by: lolhey so as someone in a new row house...can new row houses stop hanging on this site or at least make it less obvious? you're making us all look bad since we're grouped together. the filler girl narrative is stupid and not true. you guys act like half of the new row houses get the girls they want from the beginning. the bottom half of new row houses aren't selective and pretty much make their selection at the end with who they've got left (so if you're not zta, pbp, or the bottom half of aphi/adpi). which would be equivalent to being a "filler" girl. anyways, a lot of girls that come here know other other girls and the reality is or is filled with oos. what do you think their friends in those houses say when they bring up "filler" or they go on insta and see them loving their house and pledge sisters. it makes US look bad, bitter, and like we're obsessed with old row...stop trying to scare girls to pledge your house and work on ways for them to actually genuinely love and want to be apart of your sorority. because i'm telling you this greekrank tactic isn't going to work and hurts in the end. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I'm literally in an old row house and there might not be "filler girls", but old row houses make the out of state girls irrelevant. In a old row house 9/10 times all of exec is in state. The door songs and old row Instagram prove it! Look at any of their door songs and Instagram, it's the same instate girls, and you never see the out of state girls mentioned, unless their friends with the instate girls. If you're not friends with the instate girls you feel like an outsider in your own house.

That may be true but the thing is it happens in new row houses too, it’s just not as focused on geography. I’m in a lower NR house and the whole thing is run by the “cool girls” and their friends. Exec, door stack, social media, everything. If you aren’t in this group it’s not happening for you, period. Those types of girls will always find a way to run the show no matter the house.

There are cliques in every house. I’m in a NR and though I love it and have had great experiences, there is still a certain clique that runs exec, is featured on Instagram, etc. It’s not based off location, but they can still be very unwelcoming and make others feel like they’re “not worthy.” In looks houses I’ve definitely heard of cliques based off of the prettiest girls which I think is the worst. Involvement or personality type seems more natural, and location may kind of suck but it makes sense some. Looks based cliques sound way more shallow and personal. Let’s just admit there are cliques in every house, OR and NR, and even houses with great sisterhoods suffer from this.

That's different cause y'all all had a chance to be in that group in the beginning, you just weren't. OR far oos girls don't even have a shot. It's automatic from day 1 because everybody has known each other since kindergarten and their moms were college roommates etc. Sorry you just weren't social or cool enough to get yourself into the desirable group you want to be in in your house. It's not the same thing

Wow what a lovely girl you are.... not.
Honestly a lot of it was just who made friends right away. Maybe I’m say more I’m social than the girls in that clique, but I didn’t make friends with them quickly enough. As far as looks houses, it’s way meaner to say you’re not pretty enough to be in our clique than it is to say you didn’t go to Mountainbrook Hogh School so we can’t be friends.

No one mentioned alpha chi??? This post was made because the new row girls on this site created this false narrative of filler girls. It's sad y'all have to use this tactic to scare girls into pledging a new row house. It's like "oh you're not good enough to be their top but you're good enough to be ours" it's so stupid and sad
