Please list the completely honest reasons for cuts for each round of recruitment!
So what you’re cut for on ice water teas, philanthropy, etc.

Any house can cut for anything during any round. First round you’re most likely to be cut for grades, no rec letters, no connections, or not fitting a houses “look” (yes this is superficial). You can’t be sure why you got cut from houses most of the time but for first round those are the most common. You can pinpoint why you’re getting dropped throughout rush so I wouldn’t stress about it. Focus on the houses you have not the ones that you dont

Typically legacies must be invited back to at least one round. Ex: the girls did not see you as a good fit during IWT, but your mom was in their sorority (whether it's UA or at any other chapter) so they must extend you an invite to the second round. After the second round, if you still were not a fit you are typically dropped after this day. If you are a legacy and invited back for pref, they must place you on their first bid list. If you do not place them first, your next match would be where you land. You can possibly get any house you pref. Typically no one is dropped on bid day unless they suicide cut.

Not true for my house. If anything if you don’t like a legacy they recommend getting rid of them ASAP so as not to get stuck with them later on. But then again, we have a weak legacy policy lol

Um at my house it 100% is. If you don’t have a rec for us it shows us you aren’t really serious about wanting to join.
So if you don’t have a rec, we won’t be seeing you the next day.

That's just wrong. I had no recs for any OR houses and had a full schedule the whole week. My rho chi also had no recs through recruitment and had a full schedule as well.

^^ if my house wants you enough and you don't have a Rec and alum will write you one but generally we drop everyone that doesn't have one

In my house we have to give all legacies an invite to philanthropy, and we try to drop all legacies we don’t want at the end of that round so that we don’t get their hopes up (or get stuck with them for pref bc they’re at the top of our bid list if they make it that far)
