All BS aside... these are the houses you want. A good mix of grades and involved, but also social and friendly on campus. These aren’t the conceited self-rankers. These are the genuinely good houses:

The purpose of a college sorority is to have a close group of friends -- not have a greek name to brag about on greekrank. I think it's time to acknowledge that the Gamma Phis have really done a good job in the last few years and are now a desirable house

They are notorious for having a bad sisterhood, 2 mediocre pledge classes does not change a sorority or make them desirable imo

I know many GPhis and my roommate last year was a PC17 GPhi. They are a bit split between Fresh/Soph and Jrs/Srs. I think this is bc their house is changing in looks, personality and type. Girls seem happy there but the divide is real. If they keep pulling good PCs it will be a more house in 2 years. Their biggest challenge is to get grades up!

Ahhh, I see what you did there. You left Alpha Chi and Phi Mu off the list. This is a creative form of “bait” to see if the Alpha Chi or Phi Mus come out to defend their honor.
Once when the Racine Belles were recruiting Flat Nose Tina to play short field, we used a similar technique. It worked.

I bet you didn't pretend to be multiple teams just to try and get Tina away from the Belles, and I'm sure you were much more subtle.
At this point, it's become a joke and Tina wouldn't be falling for it.

Tina's not too smart so she may have fallen for it. Subtle doesn't always work and sometimes you need the full court press.

Pi Phi seems to be a low drama house, be well-rounded and a solid NR option. GPhi is improving a ton, is getting a better coal rep and more desirable during recruitment, and Kappa’s grades aren’t bad they’re just average, plus they’re probably the top social house on campus.

That's where the social factor comes in for pi phi and kappa. Kappa is arguably the most social house on campus and keeps decent grades and involvement. Pi phi is up there too, they are everywhere campus in my experience. G phi not so sure

This is so good. PNMs pay attention to this! You will be appreciated in these houses and not feel the pressure to project the image that you are perfect all the time. There are genuine, sweet, beautiful girls in these houses....so glad someone has broken from the BS and posted the truth!

This post kind of makes me sad because it’s partially celebrating chapters for being well rounded and prioritizing sisterhood, etc, but...
there are just as many nice, fun, smart, social, involved girls in all the other houses. You can celebrate your house for accomplishing these things without saying that others lack what you have!

Wasn’t hating on others but GR is dominated with other ranks and in fighting within tiers. It’s nice to see a different point of view and I agree that the overall vibe of the listed houses is different than most of the non listed houses.

Being desired by PNMs who haven’t even started school yet isn’t the best measure of a house. Not to say it isn’t important but so much sways PNMs perception.....the area you come from, these stupid ranks, tent talk, the face a sorority puts on during rush..... once you are actually on campus the stereotypes during rush blur and PNMs find there are girls in all houses you click with and some you don’t. The true measure of a good sorority is how satisfied it’s members are to be there, how it helps them be the best they can be academically and socially, supports them through rough times and how it encourages members to get involved and serve their school and the community.

I think they fit with this list. #1 of NR and #4 overall in retention means girls are happy there.
