It's a made up term for people to scare PNMs and convince them not to rush certain houses.

A filler girl is a girl who is given a bid because the house needed to make quota. There are filler girls in EVERY house.

Filler girls are commonly brought up as a way to discredit Old Row houses in particular. Most OR houses tend to fill up half of a pledge class with friends and top instate recruits but fall short with curating a good pledge class for the other half. The other half of the pledge class is primarily made up of filler girls, girls who basically got in on dumb luck. A lot of filler girls are very average PNMs which is why you then tend to hear a lot about "mixed pledge classes."

It is the word that connected actives in some OR houses use to make themselves feel more important in their house. They worry that it was only their connections that got them in and the fillers did it all on their own. As a result the local mean girls have created the fillers to make sure the outsiders know they will never be a equal sister.
