ranks
by: yep
axo/kkg/pm - each one has an area where they lack, but overall its pretty universally accepted that they're top
ddd - good but not quit top, known for taking qr risks, had some really good pledge classes recently
kd/xo - highly desired, mutual distaste for and from most OOR pnms
agd - less desired OR house, good grades and sisterhood
zta/pi phi - edgy OOR girls, ZTA is typically more desired takes more grade/qr risks
adpi/dg - less memorable, good grades and involved
gphi/dz - basically ZTA/PiPhi rejects - they could fit in in those houses but have some sort of flaw that got them dropped
aphi - idk man, just having some issues lately
theta/aopi - less desired/known on campus, girls whose top trait to offer is brains
tiers are interchangeable
keeping aphi there as of rn, really not sure how their rush will go

serious question -
what really stops xo from being a top house? when i rushed i really liked them and they seemed to have put on a good rush. also, they have great grades and they're a super involved house. they're basically the equivalent of alpha chi except they seem to be more social.
i understand they don't diversify much outside of the south and i get why that hurts them. but then people also say that them being traditional in that sense is what makes them better than some NR houses. so whats the deal with them?

Depending on where you’re from, how much you value grades, how much you party, and how put together you are, your definition of top can be very different.
I would say that it’s a common consensus that AXO, DDD, KD, PM, KKG, and XO are top houses.
If you’re religious, AGD would be high up there.
If you value looks/partying, throw in ZTA or APhi

yes!! Putting on a universally well-liked rush does not mean that the house is friendly to out of state.
Kappa certainly has a big out of state presence, but look up their chapter officers... almost all from mobile or mountain brook. Two of my really good friends from rho chi went kappa (far OOR) and they were really disappointed by their treatment in the house once they pledged.
