being instate or southern

houses don't look at your resume and see that you are from AL or the deep south and think "oh bonus points for her!" the reason being instate or southern is helpful is because you will already know some actives. If you're instate/southern and don't know any actives in a house, it doesn't really help you.
A northern girl with some in house connection will have a better chance than an instate girl with 0.
