by: PnmI’ve tried my best to find a rec for every sorority but I’m still missing one to pm, kd, kat, zta, and aopi. I have a really good gpa (4.4), strong resume, and I think I’m decent looking and can “look the part”. Will those help me with first round cuts or will I still be cut based on my lack of rec from those houses regardless of other positive things?

I wanted to post this here put it on another thread.
Girls keep saying houses drop after IWT if there is no rec.
And while I am going to recommend them, between myself and a few friends in comparing cuts, ther isn’t a house that definitely drops because of not having a rec!
Between us, everyone moved on to at least Sisterhood in every house without a rec.
I am SURE the claim will be refuted,but I don’t know who is anonomously posting it. I ABSOLUTELY known from my real experience the above is 100 percent true.
We also got cut from houses w/o recs and they do help. Just saying (someone mentioned if you don’t have a rec but have a good convo/votes) you CAN get through.

Sorry - I have proof you will not.
Between my room mate and I there wasn’t a house we didn’t have at sisterhood, where between us we didn’t have a rec

People who think they don't have recs had one sent in behind their backs without them knowing. Happens all the time

Many sororities, I think including tri delta, require a rec in order to give you a bid. They might keep you around though if they really like you, and if they really really like you they can find you a rec, but don’t count on it.

Why the down votes?
Girls Like to say no recs is the “reason” they were cut. And they drive you all crazy about it because it makes them feel better
About their “losses”.
It is not. It is about relating to who you are talking to , making them think you are a fit in their house and being “liked” (not just nice) but also desirable.
getting “yes” votes from the girls you talk to.
Sometimes it’s random - as I really got a girl I couldn’t relate to.
But really - it’s not about a resume it’s about relating to people.
