Kappa’s pref is BIZARRE.

I agree it’s very... ritualistic. All prefs are but most make it sentimental so it’s also about the sisterhood. I get they probably have to do certain things at pref as a National thing, but there has to be some way to make it more meaningful. I preffed them and happened to have connected very well with 2/3 of the actives that talked to me at pref. The third took the time to tell me what wonderful things she’d heard from the girls I’d talked to that week and it made it personal. I think they three really tried to make the conversations sentimental and you could really see how much the house meant to them. The pref itself was kind of cult-ish but the girls themselves sold it. That being said, if the actives you talk to don’t go extra like that and maybe don’t know you, I 100% could see being offput. I ended up getting my legacy house, which had a better pref.

I preffed kappa last year and loved that party. Kappa is great. I went to another house at the end but had kappa second. Would have been so happy there if I did not go where I went. It is so important to be happy with whatever you have at pref.
