what’s a snap bid
by: ya#1 by: X
A bid that is given out in between bid matching and when PNMs opening their bids. It’s girls who were either cut from recruitment or dropped out (can’t be girls who suicided and didn’t get the house they wanted). Houses offer the bids if they are below quota but want to pick up girls through snap bids instead of COB. Rho chi’s call the girls in the morning and ask if they want to accept the snap bid, if they do they go to bid day with everyone else and open the bid (knowing what’s inside)

Not common at all but useful for houses and pnms. This is not something you count on or game the system for. I do know a girl who was unhappy with her card before sisterhood and dropped out. She told us she would just get a snap from one of the houses she wanted. Of course she was not offered anything. It is cliche but it is for girls who fell through the cracks who would add to a house. It helps houses make quota and they have girls who have been vetted by Rho Chis and get a chance for a second look at someone they missed the first time around.
