are you guaranteed a bid after pref?

With the new rules, if I only got invited to 1 house for pref, would I definitely be getting a bid from them or could they still drop me? If I got invited to 2, and I put both houses on my final voting form, am I definitely getting a bid from one or the other because I maximized my options?

I wasn't sure how the new rules applied to this so let me know!
