rushing again
by: #2I'm rushing again after after getting a bid last year and dropping before getting officially initiated. What should I expect? Will some houses just drop me for that? Where do I have a shot?

there have been multiple posts about this topic over the past week or two.
basically, you'll be automatically cut from whatever house you pledged. and then you might be automatically cut if other houses knew you've already pledged. besides that, rush as a sophomore especially going through formal rush again is generally tougher. grades matter even more since you've already been in college for a year. if your gpa is below a 3.3 you'll probably have harsh grade cuts, ideally houses (especially the academically focused houses) want to see something around or above a 3.5. you'll also be judged harsher on what you've gotten involved in freshman year... if you have a club or two that you're really invested in on campus then that should be good. and do you have any in house connections? this is when in house connections really come in handy, you can lack in all the other areas but as long as you have very good friends in a house they should be able to pull you through at least a few rounds.
