it is this stupidest thing literally a giant waste of time no one actually cares about makes coco not fun

There are reasons fewer houses participate in Derby Days...it has been demeaning in the past to ask sororities to do stuff in competition to win Derby Days.

As for pomping, I honestly think the whole tradition should move in the direction Theta is taking it. If you're going to put all this time into making a sign, then do it for a good cause. Votes towards winning pomp should be dollars contributed to in name of a sorority's charity.

Pomping is so stupid. Why do we do it?

Pomping sucks but the end result is great and it’s a good way to make friends in your house. At least the school has made a size limit and increased the time allowed to two weeks instead of one. My freshman year there was no size limit and we only had sunday-thursday to make a massive pomp.

My sorority’s nationals also found out we had hours assigned based on PC and we got in trouble for hazing. Now we have to give everyone the same amount of hours but idk how that’s going to work out
