This is rude. You could say the same thing about the girls being pretty and normal any bottom ranked house. The answer: there is nothing wrong with DG. Great house. Great girls. Fun and involved. There are no bottom houses here and you will find everything you are looking for in any of the houses.

The tiers and ranks do have some truth in desirability of houses. This was explained well in some other post. When 20-60% of your house is filled with connected known girls that leaves a lot less spots for unknowns. This creates a situation where there are many more OOS girls trying for a lot less spots. As a result, those houses that fill up with IS friends can be much choosier with their filler girls and those girls tend to all be really strong. In turn, the next year they have strong girls recruiting (and strong OOS recruiting their connections) and less slots for unknowns so they can take be choosy again. Note, the IS connected girls are very normal girls in every sense in that some are insanely smart, some a beautiful, some are involved, some are outgoing etc. but others are the opposite. THere will be a wide range of type of girls but they get in because they know people. They have a lower threshhold to memebership into OOR houses because they are known to be good people so they don't need to be outwardly perfect in every way. This is how top tier houses stay there for the most part.

This all does not mean that lower ranked houses have any negatives or have less desirable PNMs. They just have more spots to fill so will take a wider range of pledges.

Lots of cute California girls go DG every year, especially the ones that are planning on going back and living there. The houses at UA are very different tier wise and many of the tops here are very bottom out there. Just call it for what it is

Not bad grades they actually just made a huge jump to 5th! They’re one of the newer sororities on campus and are still working their way up. They take some awesome girls but also take some that are not so great, as does every house though.

DG is a "meh" house held up by strong alumni support from pre-PSK pimping scandal. They aren't known for anything great, nor are they known for anything awful.
