transferring

by: transfer

Im from California and I’ve been considering transferring to Alabama since I’m not too happy with my current school. Im in ADPi and I’d be a sophomore business major. How easy is it to adapt to the Alabama Greek life coming from a place where it’s not as big? And are there any specific thinks to Greek life at Alabama that might make me regret transferring here?

I think the thing that would be hard is the size of the houses, because you wouldn’t be involved in the new member process you’d have to put yourself out there to make new friends. From my experience, all the ADPi’s I know are really friendly and nice, so I don’t think it would be a difficult house to make new friends, but you’ll have to be outgoing enough that people have the chance to meet you

Game Day is going to rip you a new one & unless you're from Sacramento you should stay out West

^ Gamedays are not a war zone.

The size and expectations of the Greek life here may be overwhelming at first but you'll probably get used to it. And as the first person said, you'll have to be willing to put yourself out there to meet new people and make new friends since most people already have established friend groups in their houses.
