aphi in trouble?

OP isn't suggesting people dropped because of dues, she's suggesting dues are going to be raised significantly to keep the house running (food, staff, date parties, swaps, literally everything) But in fact many girls were kicked out because they just weren't paying dues and alpha phi wasn't staying on top of it. It's an issue i've heard they've been having for a while

If the girls weren’t paying dues anyway then they probably won’t go up. Actually they might even go down since they’ll be ordering less food.

Aphi has pretty low dues compared to a lot of houses from what I know. They also have had a lot of problems in the past with girls not paying their bills (they had to cancel tacky Christmas two years ago because they were broke from a low rate of girls who paid). So with less girls they probably still have a lot who have actually been paying the whole time, they may just have less deadweight now

I think the house clearing will help in terms of quality of girls, the issue now is that I’m sure nationals will want them to step up theirs grades and stay away from QR’s during recruitment
This will be an issue because (say what you will about them being popular during rush) but their brand is hot girls who other houses don’t want because of bad grades and reputations. They’re easy to recruit because those girls want to be in the “hot” house and aphi will happily take them.
I don’t think APhi’s PC will be anywhere near as hot as usual, because nationals will be forcing them to take girls will good grades and they might be scraping the bottom of the barrel

ALSO forgot to mention... Taking a larger than normal pledge class might be hard with the introduction of SK and the lower than previous years enrollment in rush. There are SO many different factors I could go into with this too but I'll stop myself. Honestly, Alpha Phi is in a VERY sticky situation and they need to play their cards VERY well if they're going to bounce back from this. All the "if" situations I listed above are extremely easy to happen if little things go wrong. It'll be interesting to see how Alpha Phi handles this and I can't even imagine the stress their exec is under.
