pledging bottom tier

Once here you will see there are no bottom houses just houses with 400+ girls who all have strengths. People are so busy with their swaps and pledging and parties and studies that they don't really notice or care about the reputations of the other houses. The ranks are a GR thing for moms, alums, trolls, GDI, and sad girls to pass the time and make themselves feel like they are a part of our greek life.

Active mom your words are thoughtful but truth is you can take away the bottom tier houses and it wouldn't negatively impact Greek Life at Bama at all. Sadly, the same holds true for off campus men's fraternities. Fact is they collectively matter most to their Intl and Natl HQs than here on campus.

If you genuinely think that taking out one of the 16 NPC houses wouldn't affect the Greek system then you're lying to yourself. All the chapters at UA positively impact the Greek community on a local and national level... As well as positively impacting the Tuscaloosa community.
If you took out just one house the entire Greek system would be strained. You would displace 400-500 women AND you would force other chapters to take even larger pledge classes which causes another laundry list of problems that I can get into if you really want me to.
The fact that you're so snobby about status is disgusting. Besides maybe grades you have NO tangible proof as to why one house is "better" than the other. It's all based on opinion.

I’m in an Old Row house and you want to know who my best friends are? A Theta, a Pi Phi and a Zeta. Tiers only matter on this site and to high school girls. Once you get here I promise you are not defined by the letters you wear, but by your personality and who you click with!
Pledge where you feel the most comfortable, but know hat your best friends in the world may be in a different house and that’s fine. You can still hang out with them all the time!

I’m in a lower mid house and my best friends who aren’t in my house are A Phi, KD, Zeta, and a couple GDI’s (and I legitimately have at least one friend in every house on the row). Never once has the “rank” of each other’s houses even been mentioned and honestly my friends who are in “better” houses come to hang out at my house/ our date parties all the time because they have a good time and like my house.
Nobody who is worth being friends with actually cares are the “ranks” of the houses on campus

Any sorority taken away would cause problems from UA sorority life. It doesn't mater which one.
