I feel like New row sororities are more desired by girls during rush and are seen around campus more? But yet everyone obsesses over old row because they have what... Alabama girls and good grades.. like ok?

New row houses are great (I’m in one) but as someone from the area this just isn’t true anymore. Respectable old row houses take in state girls who are a guaranteed grade and reputation asset and look to OOS for the rest. In state girls who offer nothing are more and more SOL every year.
It’s true that less than 10 years ago OR houses were like 90% in state but things are changing fast. Last year the number of in state girls who rushed would have only filled maybe three or four pledge classes so clearly OR is taking out of state PNMs.

It’s understandable that, if you are OOS and in a new row house, you would personally see new row houses as more desirable.
Perhaps the reason old row only seems top on GR to you is because you are in a new row house and associate with new row girls who think new row is top. I assure you there are a lot of people in real life who believe old row is top.

I agree. I'm in new row and I'll use DKE as my example. Find those guys DISGUSTING!
For some reason you OR girls trip over yourselves to be there and hang with them.
You think your top because those guys like to party with you. And, I don't get it.
I know.....it's not all about guys and parties and I agree, but it's a very good example of personal preferences.
Who's "reality" is real?
I guess both of ours - to each of us for our own reasons. And, that's my point.

OR girl who HATES DKE and actually has much more fun at NR frats. However this is Alabama, so despite how awesome all of our chapters are, tradition is going to hold a piece (thoigh definitely not all) of the determination for rankings. I agree it’s a personal preference though.

Most of the old row girls who hang out at dke went to school with those guys their whole lives so obviously they’re friends. I doubt if you went to your state school and all your guy friends went a top house you would just drop them like hot potatoes lmao

That maybe true.....but so is the idea that their high rank and appeal seems to be limited to those who rank on GR. And these ranks seem to be mostly posted by high school girls and trolls
