The rise in women and OOS students will continue to make the Machine less and less of an influence. RT

Unfortunately, the machine does still gave influence on campus. Greek members vote for machine chosen candidates often, and with such a large block of voters, they can elect and influence campus outcomes and opinions. Only one sorority, Theta, does not belong to the machine and has paid a heavy price for it , as that block also continually ranks it as the bottom house. Although the machine is male led, all the other sorority houses go along because they see what happens to a house that does not.

Just read a little about it. Do students like this system? How does it affect non machine fraternities/sororities?
