Taken from another thread.......
Think it's funny, that best case is AXO but Theta most likely.
Shows me how weak AXO really is! Based on this post AXO competes with Theta , ADP and DG. Kind of lame and not vying for girls other top houses want.

It seems the thread quickly narrowed its focus to high academics. All houses have high GPA members and overall sorority members perform better than non-sorority members, but if a high GPA PNM wants to pursue a house with proven track record of consistently ranking as a top academic house, that takes out many strats and creates a short list of about five or so houses. AXO falls on the connected end of that continuum and Theta on the unconnected end of that continuum... with the other few houses falling between.

That was from a place me thread about an oos girl with an exceptionally high gpa (don't remember the number). And as some people have observed, AXO focused on grades for their pc17 to stay competitive academically. So if a girl with incredible academic stats walks in, they're going to notice her even if shes oos. But if AXO drops her, another really strong academic house is Theta.
The house choices aren't based on stupid tier ranks, which are subjective, but on actual academic ranks which, to some pnms, are really important in choosing a house. Sure, she could maybe go APhi, but that house isn't going to help her reach her academic goals because that isn't their focus. So to her, Theta is a much better option because it offers what she wants.

The take away PNMs should realize:1) all sororities value academic achievers, 2) but not all sororities have a culture that supports and lifts academic achievement. If this is important to PNMs, they need to take a closer look at the sororities that consistently post high GPAs averages semester after semester. Congrats to those on that short list that have found a way to balance social and academic pursuits.

This is actually a great point illustrating how subjective house ranks are to people
