does being cool in high school mean anything?
by: lDo the cool kids in high school automatically become cool in college? Are there any cool kids who don’t go on to being cool in college? Are there high school “unpopular kids” who go on to being cool in college?

Birmingham/in state aside, I would say it depends on what your hs considered popular and why you were popular. For example, if your hs’s popular kids were the ones who got great grades, were nice to everyone, and did a lot of community service or something they will probably continue to be popular here. If the popular kids in your high school were popular because they were really hot and partied a lot, they may not have as easy of a time. A lot of “popular” people here are not popular in the conventional sense.

At my in-state high school the "popular" girls were the hot rich girls who participated in a few select extra-curricular activities, namely cheerleading or soccer. They ended up in old row houses but a lot of them weren't actually NICE people and a lot of them party a little too hard, so they don't have the best reputations at UA.
