clarity on rec letters
by: pnm2018I'm beginning to ask alumnae women to fill out my rec letters, but some of them have never filled one out before. If a chapter has a "recommendation form" online (for example, I found a pdf for AGD that is like a fill-in-the-blank sheet), then does the alumnae simply fill out the form and send that? Or do they write an actual letter? Does it vary for houses? Sorry I'm a bit clueless, I just want to be sure :)

That PDF that you found may be old or outdated. All rec information is found in each sorority members newsletter, either in paper form or online. If they have not set up an online account or have kept up their alumnae status, that may be telling to you that you should seek out another rec just to be sure you get one in. Be sure to have your information packets ready- social resume, scholastic information, pre stamped envelope to the Alabama sorority ( even if the recs are turned in online to nationals. Some like to send it in online AND to the chapter in hard copy), and your 4x6 headshot. You should include a thank you note or send one shortly after.

But the up-to-date form is all that the alumnae needs to fill out?
