not super popular in high school
by: AverageThis might be paranoid, but I was looking at a lot of the chapter instas and all the girls are sooo pretty. I’m not like a weird kid, but I’m just kind of in an “average” friend group in high school, none of us are weird, but we’re not the most popular group and the girls in my friend group don’t tend to date the quarterback if that makes sense. We’re all involved in our own sports, cheer, theatre, student council, etc, and are social, im just a little worried because it seems like most, if not all, of the sororities here are made up of former “it girls” and I honestly just am not one. Will I be bidless or am I being paranoid? I’m also from the Midwest so I don’t currently know any active members in any house

College is a great time for a new start. If you aren't from an Alabama high school then this won't be high school all over again. Get your recs. Mind your conversation and manners and present your best polished appearance during rounds. Clean your social media. Now is your chance to blossom; I speak from personal experience!

Honestly not everyone in my sorority was super popular and I’m in an old row. I was probably how you were, I was a cheerleader and had a decent amount of friends but I wasn’t at the top of the social standings by a long shot, and I’m southern OOS and still had a pretty good recruitment.
That might hurt in state girls who know a lot of active members, but as long as you’re social and can look presentable and were involved in your respective activities in high school you should be fine as an out-of-stater. Also, less girls than people think are stuck in high school. former “popular kids” associate with “nerds” lol, it’s a different time in your life

I was a super shy girl in high school. Literally had like 3 close friends and they were great but I definitely did not picture myself as a typical sorority girl. I was pretty involved, had a good GPA, and got all my recs and I had a full schedule every round. It's not as elitist as instas make it out to be. You'll find your home and you will love it!!
