adchi

Is adchi a good sorority if you're looking for a smaller group? No one really talks about them. Are they more strict than other sororities?

Strict? Yes, which creates an odd mix of girls who are Besie Bible and the weirdest partiers you've ever met. If you want to party, don't put yourself in an environment that judges you but also condones you. It won't be good for your mental health.

Small? Locally as well as nationally. If you want locally small, go Sig Delt since they have a solid national presence.

Don't go Adchi, OP. If you have the money for a bigger group, go big and find your clique.

ADX is incredibly strict religious-wise and also with what they allow you to do/what they expect of you. If you're looking for a smaller sorority I agree with the first commenter who said try SDT. But also you can't go wrong with the bigger groups.

I lost my respect for these ladies when I found out so so many of them were judgemental hypocrites... don't bother joining

Adx is fine for what they are. They seem happy and good for them.
Bigger is not always better (sorority wise, that is).

Go big sorority and just find your group. Twining your faith into sorority membership creates some weird, judgmental circumstances because not everyone is on the same page religiously or at the same places with their life and faith journey. Christian principles are honorable to have for a group but trying to enforce them among the members as a stipulation of membership makes for some bad situations.

Has anyone noticed that ADX is using this death for heavy publicity? Seems wrong to use a girl dying a tragic death to try to make yourselves seem relevant to the community. A lot of out houses lose girls but we don't go cry to a news camera

I completely agree. I think it's terrible of them. They should 100% be more respectful to her REAL family. They hardly knew her.

They're trying to create a positive memory of someone they've become friends with over 3 months of college...are y'all being equally as bad judging people for how they deal with such a hardship....it's a death have some heart.....

and if you don't want to go big cause you know it's not for you, then don't. If you want to join it, try going to the info meeting and try it out. College is about finding what makes you happy, not letting other people tell you what would be best for you. Give it a go and maybe it'll be the best choice for you. If not, you can drop. Just like normal rushing. How bout we stop judging girls for what they like if 1.youre not really informed on how it's like and 2.it doesn't harm anyone

1. The parents, roommate, preacher, or professors should have been the priority. Sorority girls crying to a camera about how they miss her so much (1.5-2 months into their process) doesn't build a story. It cries "we want media attention." Maybe one, but when the whole of the media coverage is the sorority girls crying about how they miss her and "she's with Jesus now!" doesn't convey anything other than ADX sending a press release to a few news outlets to try to garner some quick positive coverage.

The fact that this is even being discussed is horrifying. This girl died by a freak accident, her sisters held a vigil in her memory, and you people are on here bashing them. Friendships CAN be made in a matter of months. I don’t see adx doing anything except trying to honor their sister and support her family.
