As an active in a house now I know that cuts are never personal. They cut me at the time because they probably didn’t know enough about me to keep me to pref/ I didn’t have the connections.
I see this response a lot when girls get cut to a bottom house and people say “well those other houses didn’t want you but XYZ bottom house did” Well, did they though? Is it really that special to be in a house where you likely ended up because they couldn’t cut you even if they wanted to? (I ended up in a lower house so I think about this a lot)

^ this is why I wish people would be a little more sympathetic when girls who were cut to one or two bottom houses post on here. Not only were they just cut by almost every house, they probably know that the house has made minimal cuts and they don’t feel excited about “making it.” It’s enough to damage self esteem for sure

I'm from a big school in Alabama so i had some pretty set ideas about what houses I would like and where i would end up. If I could pick any other house on this side of things, I would look at the houses I originally thought I would never fit into, like DG and GPB, because at at the time girls from my school just didn't join there. But I've met a lot of great girls in those houses in my 3 years here and I'd like to know how things would have been different if I broke the mold and went somewhere I didn't know anyone.

Why would you think you would fit in better in a house that dropped you and did not want you as a member verses the one that picked you and wanted you as a member? Does not make sense to me.
