cob emails

by: :)))

Hi there!
I signed up for COB because I want to join a sorority this spring! I was talking to a member of a sorority about this and she said for me to email some of the sororities that i'm interested in and just introduce myself, and note how i'm interested in joining if they are doing COB. I just wanted to know if this idea was smart, I don't want to annoy/be pushy so much that they won't invite me to a COB event! Thank you so much!!!

I think it's good to let a sorority know your interested, just don't go overboard. Then it looks desperate.

"Hello, my name is (name), I am a (grade) studying (major). I am interested in COB and was wondering if (sorority name) will be participating. If so, I was wondering who I should get in touch with for more information"

Anything more would be overboard, in my opinion. This starts a dialogue, which is all you need to do. Remember the people you are emailing are normal girls just like you and me!

Better to meet as many girls as possible NOW. The more friends you make the more friends you'll have in sororities. They're the ones who will point out your name on a list of COB PNMs to the officer in charge. They could also let you know when they're going to take COB new members.

If you are doing this, make your social media public and make sure it is clean. The first thing we do when we get a name is check her out to see if she looks and acts reasonable - or at least knows how to look and act reasonable in a public forum.
