Okay can y'all just chill with the Phi Mu hate for just like a minute... I was just wondering why a Machine backed sorority would let a member challenge the Machine backed HoCo Queen candidate (from DDD). Believe it or not, but the Machine is still present and I know no house that's a part of it willingly does things to compete with it. I mean y'all make such a big deal about how AGD didn't support their sister because she wasn't Machine backed...

They are more than likely still backing the machine nominated candidate. The girl is probably running on her own.

She is not running under Phi Mu, she’s running under some other major-specific organization. She probably didn’t even ask them

Even though Phi Mu is in the machine, the machine backs the “best” candidate which means all the houses in the machine should vote for the machine backed candidate, even if it means not voting for their own sister. That’s just how the machine works, this year it’s a Tri Delt.

come on, just stop with the bs, you must be a freshman or a fool. "all the houses in the machine should vote for the machine backed candidate" is so outdated and shows what complete morons some of our panhel sisters have become. It is 2017 and the Greek women are all accomplished, smart, focused, and beautiful. We don't need the machine deciding who is the best for us or for the campus. It makes us look weak, insecure, controlled, and a bit pathetic. "the machine backs the "best" candidate which means..." stop your statement right there and add "which means the girl from the house that is next in line or is owed a favor/payback for some other shady deal" Perhaps the best from her house specific house but what a ridiculous statement that the machine backs the "best" candidate. Laughable and shows what a joke hoco has become here. What a hollow win for the "best" girl who won by coercion, politics, and bs. The worst of UA Greek life and we all feel a little slimy by being a part of it.
