give gamma phi credit
by: G Phi
Credit needs to be given where it's due. Gamma Phi has improved throughout the last two years. Pledge classes are getting "prettier" and "thinner"
However, I don't think it's enough for them to be considered a middle tier house. Once PC 14/15 leave then I personally believe their house status can be reevaluated. PC 14 wasn't too good nor was PC 15
They still have one of the lowest GPA's on campus and are very divided partially because of how different each pledge class is.
I would rank them only above Theta...
(the following aren't rankings just why other new row houses have more of an edge)
DZ has hotter girls and a longer tradition at UA.
AOP has better grades and a sisterhood
Alpha Phi had hotter girls and better social life
DG is more involved and better grades
ADP better grades and sisterhood
Pi Phi better everything
One/two pledge classes can't change an entire sorority. It takes time and while they are improving they have a long way. But hey at least their trending up

EVERY house has their good and their bad!!! And BTW Theta has great grades and great involvement... If you're going to say DG & ADPi have good grades/involvement then you need to be fair and "give credit where it's due" for Theta as well.
Truth is ranks are SUBJECTIVE. I know people who think GPhi is amazing, I know people who think GPhi is awful... Completely subjective which is why if you think ranks/tiers matter then YOU'RE the one with issues.
#5by: not in either house
Having just gone through recruitment, I can say that GPB was considered by PNMs to be more similar to the middle houses (as they're ranked on here) than the lower houses. Obviously the person writing the original comment above disagrees for whatever reason. If she's been here for a while (or is an alum) she has a distorted and prejudiced view. The girls I met were darling and seemed as smart, put together, and involved as girls in the other houses I liked. While I chose a different (mid-level) house, I enjoyed my time at GPB (and found most of the girls I met at the lower houses more awkward.)

OP says: "divided partially because of how different each pledge class is"
Personally I don't wish to live my life with people just like me. I don't want to my best friends to be my friends from high school. I think GPhi does very well with a mix of members from all over.
#8by: Yep
#9by: OP
The original OP is not nice. She's just jealous that a sorority has gotten some recent attention for strong recruitment effort. No one says they're ZTA but I do feel like AFPi and GPB have more in common today than several years ago. OP is from a struggling house. Period!
