negatives
by: ??What are some downsides of being in a sorority that you have realized as the years or months have gone by? We all know greek life isn't absolute shining gold 24/7 and it doesn't have to be anything specific and don't call out any chapters. Just general honest downsides.

This may be specific to my sorority but a lot of the girls in my house just are not nice people. I'm in a mostly OOS house and it's basically impossible to recruit people based on values (like more popular houses do) when you know no PNMs coming through. We accidentally take girls who are so rude and wild bc we just don't know. In state/southern dominated houses really do have an advantage this way because they can take girls who they know the personality of. As a senior I am leaving kind of disallusioned with the system and pretty concerned about where my house is headed

Yup. Most of my sisters are mean, judgmental, and cliquey. I went alum early on and am no longer involved. I couldn't handle it anymore.
