by: YCurious how it is for someone to transfer from another school and reaffiliate with their sorority? It there a chance they'll get turned down? What's the process?

So what happens is you reach out to that sorority, they invite you to an event, you mingle with sisters and they see if you fit in, then they vote if they want to let you in. They can vote no and not let you in if they chose.
It can also depend on if they think you would have been given a bid to their house if you rushed here.

It's sorta like COB in a way. You hang out with them for a bit and then they vote.
USUALLY they will let you in out of respect to their sisters at another chapter who obviously liked you enough to pledge you.
They may not let you in if you are a grade risk or if you transferred for a reputation-related reason (was involved in major drama, caused trouble for your first chapter, etc.)
