what is the machine and affiliation and what not? Is it a way that Greek life controls the school and student body through different underhand tactics like having Greek members be part of student government etc? This is not a troll question it's an honest question from a Greek member from another school. If it's something that can't be discussed I understand.

I don't even know where to start. Everything at UA is seeped in the Old South, especially our Greek system. It's an institution that influences well beyond campus, and even beyond state boundaries. The West Coast is more focused on hard core partying and is progressive. The South, especially at Bama, is focused on passing along tradition...and because of this southern boys know how to frat harder than anyone else. Roll Tide!

Arizona seems like it has a pretty fun Greek system that goes hard, but definitely not as traditional. The South is the best, but Jimmy Tatro is pretty cool too.
