General rule is no bars. That's just how it is. Y'all should have a swap almost every week first semester, which is a lot. And then y'all also have regular frat parties on the weekends. There really isn't a need for freshmen to be at bars.
And date parties which are usually held at bars are held at venues that are 18 and up so y'all can get in.

Do we take our bid day littles out to frat parties and bars? Yes. School hasn't even started. Do we force or encourage our girls to drink? Absolutely not! We want them meeting cute boys and not making a fool of themselves. I personally have taken two littles out and brought low alcohol drinks (they drink what I have, not a mystery drink). I told them specifically that they do not have to drink, but if they do, pace themselves and with a water in between. It's my job to protect them and to keep them safe and show them how to be sociable and not sloppy. And we have sober sisters texting us to let us know who is available to give rides.
