Theta and DZ are definitely trending down, they were very unpopular with PNMs this year.
I was also underwhelmed by DG and ADPi after how much they hyped themselves up this summer
GPhi is undeniably trending up and I think KD worked to get quality OOS girls which is what they needed

APhi is definitely trending up. You guys kill me when you won't admit it. Glad to see GPhi and AOPi getting props. I don't agree with ADPi trending up though. Staying the same in my opinion. Good girls, though.

I also think Pi Phi is definitely up too. Lots of great girls. Phi MU did par for the course, certainly not going down.

Pmu recruited at a high level like usual but this pc17 was their best in a few years. Lots of stolen legacies and most Super tough pref. Ichter decisions when to pmu.

Aopi struggled again this year like the past years - can't really tell a change with PIPHI -- gphi got some great girls but as a whole still typical gphis--ddd, ZTA,aphi look good

DDD especially was so impressive and they got some girls I would not have pegged as going there. Good for them.

DDD just lucked out that the girls from the zip codes they take happened to be pretty this year. Next year the pledge class could look completely different.

Nearly every top OOS PNM went DDD. Not only girls from their usual zip codes. Unlike KD/AGD they are really branching out and it's working.

DDD put themselves back by KKG with this PC. If they keep it up, there will be a "top four" of PMU, AXO, DDD and KKG (no order) with the second group being XO, KD, PBP and ZTA (again no order). XO and KD being the in-state oriented of second four and PBP and ZTA being the OOS oriented. I know AGD is not in top eight and maybe the could be but idk what to think of what is going on with them. If KD goes on probation maybe slot them in with XO as bottom of OR tied with top of NR.

Pretty stable across the board for the IS and OOS oriented houses. Watching them run home, the chatter doesn't match what I actually saw. Every OOS house had some hieffers. ZTA had a beast running in the front.
KD may be about to provide an opening for EK this spring. KD will definitely lose to PhiMu and KKG the next cycle or two.

DDD got top OOS PNMs just like how last year Kappa got those PNMs, but Kappa dropped the ball entirely.
PM stole pretty girls with high achievements from AXO and AGD who didn't have a hot time this year at all.
Pi Phi and GPhi much more popular with Northern PNMs.
AGD, ADPi, DZ, AOPi fell. Kappa's PC17 is worse than their PC16 but it's not a crisis yet.
Everyone else equal.

If Kappa's not worried right now I think they should be. They really thought they had something going by increasing their minimum grade requirement and probably expected to make gains this year (I think lots of other people did too.) But instead so many of their potential in-state girls ended up in DDD/XO and so many of their potential oos girls went PBP. Not good news for them AT ALL.

PBP and ZTA were very competitive with a lot of top girls and they actually got a share of some of them. This was one of the big developments for PC17. Sure, PBP and ZTA lose 3 out of 4 of head to head pref battles with good OR, but in past years they could not even get into the fight.

I heard kappa got a lot of their top in states. Especially the MB/Mobile girls. There are a few where DDD won out for sure, but KKG seemed to get a lot of girls XO and KD went after. That being said, I know a lot of OOS went NR. I'd say DDD did better than kappa this year, but if we're talking about how important OOS relevance is wouldn't we switch XO and KKG? I know XO has higher grades and is more involved, but both have super high return rates, and KKG is more popular with OOS. I think kappa's PC17 was good, not great like '16. XO has been good not great the past two years. Honestly if they (KKG) had cut more legacies before pref they could have had one of the best pledge classes. Props to DDD for branching out! If they can become more relevant on campus (since they obviously were during rush), that will solidify their top status.
Also, Phi Mu totally rebounded from last year!
