what to do
by: DZCan someone give me some solid advice? My distant third choice was DZ and that is the bid I received. I dropped this house twice and it kept coming back to me. I don't feel a connection with this house or the people I have met. Do I stay on and hope for the best or maybe just drop now? I will admit that part of my problem is that this house doesn't have a very good reputation. Please help!

As one who got an unwanted bid from dz in the past, just stuck around for a couple months until initiation and drop. Don't get initiated or you can't re rush!! Literally get straight a's and get involved with something else on campus and you'll have no problem rerushin. Being a gdi for a couple months after dropping and waiting to re rush is so much better than being a dz

Some people don't have the mental strength and tenacity to live their true life. When I rushed I accepted a bid from a "lower tiered" house. Found friends. My big was a sister who had me at pref. Got on exec my sophomore year, moved up on exec my junior year. Became one of their best recruiters.. Joined other awesome campus orgs too. Did it bother me that rep was not as high as some houses? Yes some days it did. People can be rude wherever. Go to an SEC football game and sit with the other side. So what. Everyone loves their team, tribe, fraternity, sorority -- and believes their group is the best.
Mine is the best 🙂
