catty girls
by: @NRLook, NR did awesome. They got so many pretty, great girls. That being said, there were some dirty tactics used to get some of them. (No I'm not talking about the ZTA dirty rushing thing.) There are actives in NR houses knocking OR and telling OOS girls they'll feel out of place and aren't even wanted at OR houses. Y'all are freaking these girls out! PNMs should choose a house because all the houses are good but one house is the best, not because all the other houses seem bad and one is the only that doesn't. Just because I'm not a shoe in for chapter president doesn't mean I'm not wanted. In my house there were OOS girls we REALLY wanted that said they were scared of feeling like fillers. They were top PNMs on a slideshow for the show chapter, that some in state girls got excited over too. So no, not necessarily fillers. Stop bashing OR for not being OOS relevant if you're messing with PNMs to try and get them to go NR. It's petty and rude. I absolutely love my house and I was appalled at these girls convinced we had zero OOS and the only ones we did weren't wanted. Y'all are encouraging this divide just as much as any OR girls that think NR is inferior.

great message but actions speak louder than words. what do the exec boards look like and how much love was shown to those oos in the houses?
so bless your heart, i'm sorry that OR is now realizing that far OOS girls are NOT dumb party girls just here in bama to be sorority groupies or because they couldn't get in anywhere else. OR has dismissed the wave of incredible OOS girls on scholarship - not because the need it but because they earned it and they are playing the game-girls who are involved overacheivers who can balance it all while still looking great. You probably didn't even see these gorgeous girls while you were so blinded by your targeted girls but you should have been noticing.You can keep your hs cliques and entitled generational legacies who are too scared or too limited to branch out and NR will continue to quietly scoop up all of these amazing pnms.
GPB did amazing could be in the top 3-5 of pledge classes. Watch PC17 of Theta,AOPi,ADPi they each have girls that OR would have been fighting for if they were from OTM, Mobile,or MB and those will be houses to watch as these new girls rush the next class. The tide is turning. Roll Tide

I did read it and I understand where you are coming from. The problem for OR and possibly your house is that while you and your wise rush chair are realizing a change is needed and you need to reach out and attract these girls you are limited. You are limited by your legacies, your inhouse cliques who will swarm their hometown besties, and your alums who area all resistent to change. The OOS girls who came through our houses were smart and they were asking about leadership chances and they were looking for a place where they would not just be given a bid but accepted and valued. During pref we heard from many girls that they feel that they would be valued in our house and could make a contribution. During pref they were watching who they were walking in with and they were aware of how southern their peers were mainly alabama but also some oos southern only. not a bad thing to be southern but these oos girls certainly felt like they were a minority in that peer group and they watched how they were greeted vs. the local girls.
Ask you RCs about the tent talk and the amazing OOS PNMs who had super high GPA, leadership, were cute, well dressed, great personalities and were released after IWT from all or almost all OR. There were not enough OR spots to even consider these girls and the other OOS girls that you did invite back noticed. they didn't understand why these girls were not given a chance and they followed these into strong NR houses where they were all accepted.

Did you even read my post? And actually our rush chair(s) really wanted lots of OOS too! They told us to look out for girls that we didn't already know about. Y'all are labelling us so unfairly. We're actually trying to make a change and making an effort with these girls but our efforts are being undermined.
