None of my roommates are here yet. Ive been alone this whole week and have no one to really talk to. I love dg but also have theta and When I looked around during pref I didn't see anyone I'd really get close with. I'm concerned I'll be at the top of their bid list and end up going there.

That's not how Bid matching works. If you ranked DG #1 and are high enough on their bid list that they haven't made quota by the time your name comes up, you get a bid to DG. If you're on both chapters' top bid lists, you get your #1 choice. Period.
And since you maximized your options by listing both chapters on your pref card, there is an outside chance you could be so low on both chapters' bid lists that they have both met quota by the time your name appears. In that situation, you would most likely match to DG as a Quota Addition as a reward for maximizing.
Both houses are great! If you do get your second choice, go in with the attitude that you're going to give it 110% effort until initiation week. I'm sure you'll find your tribe in either house. Good luck!

Well DG and Theta are about the same in everyone's opinion. The girls there could go either way just how they could with KKG and KD or with AXO and XO. I really think you will find girls you fit in at either house. And Theta is getting a new house soon so if the house is swaying you then don't let it. You can't tell if you will fit in by the way people look. Give whatever you get a chance. That's a highschool thing picking friends by what they look like and you will find that out very soon in college. BEST OF LUCK.

Well keep in mind that the girls who will become your bff's aren't even in the house yet. They'll be in your pledge class. Chapters are so large that you don't really interact with upperclassmen much....i.e., rush week is not real sorority life!!

Huh I know a few thetas that party! Every house has every type of girl, these sororities are so big! Most every girl could find a niche in each sorority.

Both are great house's and when you say that theta seem's socially awkward you don't know the girls, you've only met them a handful of times, rush is 100% fake . It's not an accurate description of what the house is like during the school year. Also dont Jude based on appearances you only saw a small portion of your potential pledge class! Be grateful you have 2 houses left, there are so many girls who would kill to be in your position!

I had an OR house and Theta. I picked theta. I'm not in high school anymore and don't need to be in the "popular clique" to have a great college experience. Those girls were so nice, funny and seem to have their act together. So, Fing, I plan to run there tomorrow. If you don't want to be there, stay home. Because I'd much rather spend my next 4 years with friends who want to be there.

Just know that there is NO way you can look around a group and say that you won't find at least one friend there. Just totally wrong. The post about finding your friends in your pledge class is totally right. Take a walk or take a nap. You have two great potential options. Chill.
