cob
by: CobHow hard is it to get a bid through COB? I really want to be in a sorority but I only have one house left, and I've felt out of place there all week, so I'm not sure what to do.

Truth - as a sophomore, if you have a Pref invitation anywhere, that is going to be your best chance of ever joining a sorority. My advice is to take the bid and put all your effort into bonding with your pledge sisters from Bid Day to the week of initiation. Attend everything - even the non-mandatory events. Make lunch dates. Sit together in class. Go out on weekends. Once you're in a chapter, you'll realize you don't interact much with the actives who rushed you. It's all about your pledge class.
Unless you have A TON of active friends in one chapter who can pull you in through COB (assuming their chapter is even eligible...), I don't think you're going to have better results. Why will the chapters who just released you be interested in you next week when COB opens? Not trying to be harsh, just realistic.
Was this your second time to rush?

But then I'd have to wait a year, and by then I'd be a junior so I doubt anyone would take me then.
