cuts before pref
by: NErvous on myHow many girls do houses cut before pref? Is it more up to the pnm or the house?? I really love my top 3 and I will be so happy to have those 3 on my card. I don't love the others as much. Are there heavy cuts before pref from the houses?? I really want my top houses back

Well, chapters had 8 parties of approx 165 pnms each for Sisterhood and there are only 3 Pref parties. So each house needs approx 3 x 165 (quota range based on beginning of week, does not include pnms who have dropped or were released) or 500 pnms to attend their pref. That means about 800 pnms who attended each house's sisterhood will not return for pref- whether because the house released them or because they were invited back to other houses they ranked higher.
For the strong recruiting chapters, if means some of them are cutting another 600+ pnms tonight while other chapters will cut less.
Expect big cuts tomorrow and remember, each house that invites you to pref wants you to be part of their chapter. Chapters are not allowed to cut after pref so if you get invited, know that they see something special in you!!

Numbers for parties all depends on historical return rates. Cuts should be fairly even now with perhaps NR being more severe from sisterhood to pref

Sorry for not being clear - was doing the math based on # of chapters pnms visited (8), not total number of parties the houses hosted (16).

No one can tell you for sure without knowing you or what chapters you have. Chances are you'll be fine but thats not a guarantee.

165?! Absolutely not. We only had about 100 for each IWT party and the parties get smaller each round. And we have 16 sisterhood parties not 8
