by: Top pnmsAre top pnms at kd, kkg, agd and chi o based upon merit or just name. It seems to be a game with kd, kkg and xo to get a name rather than quality well rounded or actually girls of substance. I don't like these chapters bc it is not genuine and no one thinks outside the box.

I went to pref there. My best friend did as well and was a legacy. Sorry you can't deal with that. We did not pref them first and you are showing why.

I think the OP brings up a good point...
For most Old Row houses, they will hands down give a bid to a girl if it means they get her ~name~ on their roster. At a certain point, a top PNM is only top because of either 1. what she looks like or 2. who she knows. If a PNM is drop dead gorgeous, then you better believe that any house (even the ones based most on merit) will look the other way and give her a bid even if she's not deserving. Same goes for the name game, if a PNM can drop important names then the bid is basically hers. It's sad but that's the way it is.
Also, it's not just the houses the OP listed... Every house will turn a blind eye to an undeserving girl if it means she meets some other criteria they want.
